Rootes Heritage Day and Old Ford Rally at The British Motor Museum, Gaydon, Warwickshire on Sun 19th July 2026.
Please can you let John know (johnnyhadfield@aol.com) if you are planning on bringing and exhibiting your car on the day.
Rootes Heritage Day and Old Ford Rally at the British Motor Museum on Sun 19th July will provide a wonderful opportunity for club members to display their cars alongside examples of other Rootes marques in a specially designated area of the museum site. The entry fee for exhibiting your vehicle is a very reasonable £13 which includes free admission to the show and free entry to the motor museum for the driver and one passenger. You will need to purchase your exhibitor ticket in advance from the British Motor Museum website to enter your vehicle for display as you will not be able to buy it on the day at the museum. See ‘britishmotormuseum/whats-on/rootes-heritage-day’ for details and booking. We have been requested by the Rootes Archive Centre Trust (who are co-ordinating the Rootes car display) to initially meet up as a group outside the museum site from 9.30 am and then to enter the site together by 10 am and form up in our designated Rootes area. The club intends to have a stand at the show. The chosen initial meet up site is an ample layby area / entrance to an industrial park (next to a sewage treatment plant!) which is opposite the museum entrance on the other side of the main traffic light junction – for example, if following the signs to the museum from the motorway junction, instead of turning left at the main traffic lights to enter the main entrance to the museum site, you would turn right to go into the layby/industrial site area for the initial group meet-up. Please advise John Hadfield (as above) or via the Contact Us option of the main menu if you are intending to exhibit your car as the show organisers would appreciate an idea of numbers.
