March 2023 saw the publication by the club of an exciting and comprehensive new 394 page hardback book The Singer Motor Company: its History and its Vehicles. Edited by Ashley Crossland and including over 400 photographs and illustrations, the book is the collective work of a number of knowledgeable Singer enthusiasts who have been able to infuse an extensive appreciation of the vehicles and their particular attributes. CLICK HERE to see more details of the book and find out how to order a copy. See the magazine, Facebook and the SMC Publications page for more details. The club stand was in attendance as usual at the Autumn 2024 Beaulieu International autojumble this year and we enjoyed chatting to club members and many other Singer enthusiasts over the two days and we also gained several new members (a warm welcome to them!). After some thought, it has been decided that the Club will not be running a stand at the 2024 Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show at the NEC 8th-10th Nov but will plan for the 2025 show instead. See Events Calendar for details of upcoming events for 2024.

John Hadfield’s 1951 4AB Roadster (in faded postcard mode) enjoying a long-abandoned stretch of the A361 near Banbury before nature completely reclaims it. Back in early 1967, John drove this same road daily (in a plucky little Fiat 600) to Export Packing Ltd at Chipping Warden airfield where he helped to pack Singers, Hillmans, Sunbeams and Humbers in c.k.d form for export inside an enormous wartime hangar.
